Who are Mindful Care Training and Consultancy? 

We specialise in training and consultancy to support the health and social care sector in providing excellent quality care. 

We specialise in three areas:

- Dementia Care

- Wellbeing, Activities, and meaningful occupations 

- Mindfulness, wellbeing and mental health support for care partners and health and social care staff. 

What do we offer?

We provide training and support for NHS, Social Care, Care partners and the community in all areas of our specialties. With a background of Occupational Therapy, Mindfulness Practitioners, Dementia Coaches, Teepa Snow trainers and a National Award winner Strategic and Operational Dementia Lead for a large care home company we are passionate in raising awareness and improving lives. 

We provide online and face to face training ( we prefer face to face if possible!), in house coaching and support, trouble shooting, Quality inspections in Dementia Care and Wellbeing, Strategy Writing and Independent Reviews, Marketing support with articles, blogs and wellbeing and mindfulness support for staff. We have also worked with companies to provide bespoke training and support. 

Where are we based? 

We are based in Suffolk and work mainly within East Anglia and North London.  Online training is available UK and Worldwide.

Kate Thubron - Founder, Lead Trainer and Consultant

Kate trained as an Occupational Therapist at the University of East Anglia between 2005-2008 and gained experience working in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and also overseas in Mombasa, Kenya. 

Throughout this time Kate found a love and passion to support people living with Dementia, their care partners and families. After taking further qualifications in Dementia Care she started work at a large care home company as their Dementia Care Lead, overseeing 37 homes and leading a team of 70 Dementia coach leads, leading on all aspects of dementia care at a Operational and Strategic level. 

Kate's work has been recognised at National Level, winning the best National Dementia Lead in 2018 and has trained with Teepa Snow - Dementia care expert and is one of the limited number of Positive Approach to Care Trainers in Europe. 

Kates love for practicing and studying Mindfulness and meditation has also helped support the staff and care partners working to care for others.

Kate is married and is a mum of two year old twins, and has two dachshunds called Frank and Audrey. 

Independent Trainers and Consultants

Some of our courses may be trained by freelance trainers and consultants including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language therapists and Nurses who provide much knowledge and expertise in their specialised areas.
