This comprehensive two-day workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills needed to understand communication challenges faced by individuals living with dementia, particularly those experiencing distress. Spanning 6 hours over two half days, this workshop will explore practical strategies to support people with communication difficulties and provide effective assistance to those who may be in distress. Throughout the course, you will engage in interactive discussions, role-playing exercises, and case studies that foster a deeper understanding of the emotional and cognitive challenges faced by those with dementia. It is essential to attend both days to complete the course and fully benefit from the insights and techniques shared. By the end of this workshop, you will be better prepared to create supportive environments and enhance the quality of care for individuals facing communication barriers and distress.
